DataBuff v0.1.10 Release Notes

DataBuff v0.1.10 is ready: the notification portal shows real webhook delivery records; oversized MCP tool results no longer blow up the model context; the Doris FE cgroup startup failure is fixed. Versus v0.1.9: 11 commits, no schema migration.

Highlights

  • Webhook delivery records: /notify/records now returns real send records (batch, attempts, status code, duration, primary alert status / description) instead of an empty placeholder.
  • Oversized MCP result guard: text results above 128 KB are stored in the session workspace; the model receives a preview plus a file path and can read the rest with workspace commands (APM_AGENT_MCP_TOOL_RESULT_MAX_BYTES).
  • MCP tool fixes: business-error envelopes and runtime exceptions now report isError; tool descriptions gained Asia/Shanghai time formats, the default one-hour window, result caps and required-argument contracts.
  • Doris FE startup fix: Docker / K8s deploy scripts append -XX:-UseContainerSupport to the FE JVM options (idempotent), fixing the cgroup-aware NPE at startup.
  • Webhook payloads: id / occurredAt (source event time) added so standard-event receivers order lifecycle changes correctly.
  • Service analysis: remote virtual service filtering fixed — service.remote targets now follow the serviceId dimension like db/redis/mq.
  • Dependency security baseline: log4j2 2.25.5, Tomcat 10.1.59, Jackson 2.22.2, Logback 1.5.34, mysql-connector-j 26.7.0, Spring Framework 6.2.19, ZooKeeper 3.9.5 pinned above the BOM defaults.
  • Demo fault injection: the demo app gained a fault-injection HTTP server with Kafka change events, and refreshed OTLP / SkyWalking fixtures.
  • Docs: alarm rule configuration example added to the alarm manual (GitHub #78).

Install & upgrade

Fresh install: Docker install. Existing installs: upgrade & uninstall. No schema migration this release (schema_version stays 8). Kubernetes does not support in-place upgrade; uninstall then reinstall.

curl -fsSL https://databuff.ai/databuff/ai-apm-install.sh | bash

# In-place upgrade (keeps observational data/)
